This recipe is so simple and so goood. I have a girlfriend (Lisa) that has been on a low carb diet since November and we got together when she brought out some low carb crackers. I took one and gave it a taste and thought they were the best low carb cracker I have ever had. So Lisa told me her secret and I knew I had to share this with you. All it is, is Mission Wraps, I added a bit of salt and cut them with a pizza cutter and baked them. They are so good, I did the same thing with the Flatout Light Flat Bread because the calorie count is only 90 calories and 6 net carbs but they do not taste as good as the Mission Wrap.
Now the Mission Wrap has 210 calories, 32 gram of carbs and 26 g of fiber. I hate that the calorie count is so high but the flavor is fantastic.
So lets get started and I will show you how to make them.
1 pack Mission Carb Balance Whole Wheat Tortillas
Pinch of hymilane salt or sea salt
Preheat oven 400 F
Take the wrap and lay on a flat surface ( counter top)
Sprinkle with salt
If you have a rolling pin roll the top of the wrap to press the salt into the wrap.
( I did try spritzing the wrap with olive oil and sprinkle salt but then it took for ever to
bake the crackers.)
Take and put the wraps on a baking sheet and using a pizza cutter, cut the wrap into squares.
Make sure your oven is at 400 F and using the middle rack.
In my oven it took 8 minutes to bake, keep an eye so they don’t burn.
I kept each wrap separate while baking and placed them in a sandwich bag so I knew the carb and calorie count.
Serving: 1 wrap
Yield: 6 net carbs
Stay healthy and live well!
