I was in a hurry today and needed to prepare something for supper before I headed out of the house. One of my favorite dishes is my Low Carb Swiss Steak Stew layered over seasoned cooked cabbage.
It is a very quick and tasty meal. A great meal all year round; you can eat it with the cabbage or without.
In fact you can add the cabbage to the crock pot or steam separately. It all depends on the amount of time you have.
3 pounds boneless beef top sirloin steaks
1 can diced tomatoes with herbs ( Irresistibles bio organic)
1 large green pepper, cut into ½ inch
2 medium yellow onions,
1 tbl. Herbamare
1 tsp. black pepper
Optional: Cooked cabbage sprinkled with Herbamare Spice.
Cut each steak into inch size pieces, place in crock-pot slow cooker. Add tomatoes with the juice, bell peppers and onions. Season with Herbamare.
Cover: cook on low 8 hours or until meat is tender.
8 large servings
Yeild: 4 net carbs per serving of stew
If adding 100 grams of cooked cabbage total net carbs 8.
