One of my favorites!
1 ½ pounds of lean ground beef
1 tsp herbamare spice
¼ cup butter
1 medium chopped onion
1 cup or 8 oz sliced white mushrooms
4 slices bacon
In frying pan melt butter sautéed onion and mushrooms.
Mix ground beef with spice, make into 4 large paddies. Take a baby food jar or pop can and press in the middle of paddy.
Manipulate the paddy with your fingers to form the edges so to you have a deep hole.
Take a slice of bacon and wrap around the meat paddy connect with a toothpick.
Add a slice of Swiss cheese on the bottom of paddy.
Fill the center of the paddy with the onion and mushroom until you have used them all up.
Cover the top with a slice of Swiss cheese (you can use any type of cheese)
Preheat BBQ to 500 F
Place paddies on the grill, cover. Keep an eye in case they flame up.
Cook until you see clear juice coming out of the meat. The bacon will be thoroughly cooked by then.
Serve with a low carb bun or by itself. Delicious!
