Christmas is soon to be here. Preparing for Christmas Parties and Entertaining, this cute Low Carb Christmas Tree Appetizer will be a hit with your guests served with my Garlic Dip or my Flaxseed Chips, Yum Yum. I used grape tomatoes, cheese, celery, carrots, kolbassa and radishes. There are other vegetables you can use as substitutes such as cucumbers, peppers, mushrooms and many more.
Tip: Use as many vegetables, cheese and kolbassa as you need. It all depends on how large or small you make your Christmas tree.
Board covered with Aluminum Foil
Carrot tops (green leaves)
Grape Tomatoes
Cheese (Your choice, I used medium cheddar and marble cheese)
Celery
Carrots
Radishes
Kolbassa
Remove the Green tops off of a bunch of carrots, lay them out on the aluminum foiled covered board in the shape of a Christmas tree.
To create the tree, start with the cubes of cheese with one at the very top and start arranging them so the rows get wider to make the shape of the tree. Add a layer of carrots, layer of cheese, layer of celery, layer of cheese again, layer of radishes and a layer of kolbassa.
At the bottom of the tree cut the bottom of a stock of celery (which is the wider part) add it to the bottom of the tree for the trunk.
Now that you have the shape of your tree, go back and add more of each item to fill out the tree. (The fuller the better) Refer to my picture to help create your tree.
Yield: It is hard to put a carb count on the tree, it all depends on how much you will be eating.
