Next weekend is the BIG GAME, so there’s a good chance that you’re thinking about what snacks to munch on while you socialize and watch the Super Bowl Game.
I’m not much of a fan, but I love making party food to enjoy with friends. Food tastes better when you’re having fun!
Aside from Thanksgiving, we eat more on big game Sunday than on any other day of the year – about 1,200 extra calories and 50 grams of fat and many carbs added to what we normally eat.
Now I don’t know if those figures are totally accurate, but I do know that almost anyone who goes to a Super Bowl party ends up eating more unhealthy snacks than they’d planned on. And those salty, heavy, calorie-laden foods cause us to feel bloated and icky the next day. That’s no fun.
So, to save you from game day bad-snacking-decisions, I’ve made a great Low Carb Cheese Chili Dip served with my Revised Flaxseed Chips. I am sure you will enjoy!
250g Cream Cheese (Philadelphia)
425 g Stagg Chili in a can
1 cup of shredded cheese (any kind, I used medium cheddar)
Spread cream cheese in bottom of an oven ware pie plate, pour chili evenly over cream cheese then sprinkle shredded cheese over top of chili.
Preheat oven to 375, place on middle rack for 20 minutes.
Remove and let cool, serve with flax seed chips!
