How many times have you sat down and had your meal and automatically want some kind of dessert? Many times for me and I am sure you are in the same boat!
I have a very simple recipe that can satisfy your sweet tooth with this quick and easy Low Carb 80 Second Flourless Chocolate Cake. It’s crazy to think that there is no flour of any sort in this recipe and still this recipe turns out to be a lovely cake.
So this means this cake is gluten free!
I have added a recipe to make a lovely whipping cream to ice this cake or you can eat this low carb flourless cake all on its own. Its delicious either way!
So lets get started and I will show you how to make it!
2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder
2 tablespoons powdered xylitol or erythritol
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1 tablespoon heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Butter ( for greasing cup)
In a separate bowl, add cocoa, xylitol, baking powder, blend well.
In another bowl, beat the egg, add cream and vanilla, mix well.
Add the cocoa mixture to the egg mixture and mix well.
With a piece of parchment paper add a chunk of butter a soup cup or ramekin dish approximately 4 1/4″ in diameter, ( make sure you use a lot of butter to grease the cup) pour batter into the dish.
Microwave for 80 seconds on high.
You might have to use a knife to help remove the cake from the dish.
Let cool.
Optional:
Whipping Cream:
1 cup 35% Whipping Cream
2 Tablespoons powdered xylitol or erythritol
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add all ingredients in a metal mixing bowl, beat with electric until extra thick.
Cover and store in fridge.
Serving: 1
Yield: 4.2
